Our Location

Springbank Farm is at Bushey, 5 km (3 miles) north of Palmerston in East Otago. Palmerston is midway between Dunedin (57 km) and Oamaru on State Highway One. Nestled under the distinctive volcanic cone of Puketapu, Palmerston is a peaceful rural township.

Shag Point, with it's Yellow Eyed Penguin colony and the wild seals, is 3 km north of Springbank Farm. If you enjoy watching wildlife in it's natural environment this is worth a visit. Immediately north of Shag Point is Kartigi Beach. It's fun to explore the rock pools when the tide is out, or just to stroll along the normally deserted beach. State Highway One is close by.

Also nearby is the Horse Range Road which  leads to Trotter's Gorge with it's secluded picnic area. There are panoramic views of the region from the top of the Horse Range Road.
